Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
5 years of management experience
3+ years of quality experience, preferably in the food or beverage industry
Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience with a beverage, food, or liquid consumer products manufacturer
Effective negotiation skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong MS Office skills
Positive attitude with the ability to multitask
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
HACCP Certified or ability to become certified upon hiring


General Overview:
The Quality Manager is responsible for managing Quality Assurance at the plant level for multi-state distribution. This position ensures the production of safe products of the highest and most consistent quality by overseeing various branded and private label production. The role involves implementing corporate quality assurance policies and programs at the plant level.


Essential Functions:
Lead implementation of the Food Safety Modernization Act at the plant
Implement corporate quality assurance programs to prevent quality or safety issues
Monitor finished product quality results
Supervise the quality team
Develop skills of direct reports and plant employees
Ensure plant is audit- and inspection-ready at all times
Provide support for all audits
Identify and lead Process Improvement initiatives
Develop rapport with Plant and QA managers at all company locations
Develop and document complete HACCP and QACCP plans for the plant
Troubleshoot problems associated with finished product production
Monitor effectiveness of integrated pest management system
Manage regulatory components within assigned region

Ability to analyze financial statements and company metrics

Knowledge of production processes and quality control

GMP & PPE Required:
Follow all GMP regulations on the production floor, including wearing required PPE.
