About the Role:
Our client looking for a skilled professional to join our team as a Estimator reporting to the Chief Estimator. This office-based position involves executing detailed estimates of structural steel components using computer-aided tools and manual methods. You’ll develop and analyze supporting documentation, review vendor and subcontractor quotes for scope compliance, and contribute to the preparation of complete estimates.

The Estimator will be responsible for analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services. This role will be located in Irvine, CA, with flexibility for remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform takeoffs for all types of structural steel components and related details.
Review vendor and sub-tier quotes for alignment with contract documents.
Produce estimate summaries highlighting special requirements, including buy-out items.
Assist in training Estimators in Training to enhance team development.
What We’re Looking For:
Must-Haves:
Proficiency in Estimation Tools
Previous experience as an estimator or similar roles
Document and Quote Analysis
BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline preferred but not necessary
Strong computer skills with knowledge of Bluebeam, Outlook and Microsoft Office
Strong experience reviewing contract drawings and specifications along with other information related to structural steel
Nice-to-Haves:
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents
Experience in estimating costs, resources, and time requirements for projects
Strong analytical and mathematical skills
Attention to detail and accuracy in estimating
Knowledge of construction materials and methods
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and in a team
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
